Whether at major public events, congresses and conferences, international press conferences or online events - accessibility for participants is a central aspect of our concepts, planning and implementation of all types of events.
This ranges from the barrier-free design of outdoor or indoor areas for wheelchair users to the use of sign language interpreters, multilingualism and the use of simple language, signposting and documentation in Braille and the design of barrier-free documents. Many people with rare diseases or allergies as well as people with cognitive impairments and mental illnesses are also dependent on the design of accessible events.
An example of an event from the past two weeks:
In September 2024, with the major public event ‘Backstage Bundesbank’, which we conceived, organised and implemented for and with the Deutsche Bundesbank for the second time, we were able to design all infrastructural and thus also safety-relevant challenges around the building complex in the Taunusanlage with ramps, mobile stair lifts and elevations barrier-free and in accordance with the recommendations of the Federal Agency for Accessibility and thus make it accessible for over 11,000 visitors. This also applied to the seamless translation of the entire stage programme on both days by sign language interpreters and the balanced culinary offer on site, which provided a selection of food and drinks for vegetarians and and vegans. The Deutsche Bundesbank building is barrier-free - naturally.
As a member of the UN Global Compact, we not only support, but also live the equal social participation of all people in all projects and campaigns and beyond in our day-to-day agency work and are actively committed to human rights. Mindfulness, responsibility and a high level of diversity awareness are core values of our entrepreneurial thinking and actions. Together with over 25,350 companies and organisations in more than 160 countries (as of 2023), we are actively committed to the vision of a more inclusive and sustainable economy for the benefit of all people, communities and markets. The ten universal principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Global Compact are important to us against the backdrop of current global challenges. In June 2024, we adopted our fourth UN Global Compact Communication on Progress.
