Early start to a healthy diet: Register now for the Dr. Rainer Wild-Stiftung symposium

Oktober 2024
On 14 and 15 November, the Dr. Rainer Wild-Stiftung´s 28th Heidelberg Nutrition Forum will focus on the topic of ‘The first 1000 days: an early start to a healthy diet - perspectives and positions’. It is aimed at specialists and experts from the professional fields of nutrition and health as well as all interested people, parents and students.

Medicine and primary prevention have long regarded early childhood as a phase of special opportunities, but also risks. In view of the frequency of non-communicable diseases and the associated economic burden, the credo of science is: prevent as early as possible! But what should the nutritional status of pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, infants and young children be and what is the current situation in Germany?

The Dr. Rainer Wild-Stiftung will be presenting various perspectives and positions at its nutrition conference on 14 and 15 November. And cordially invites you to the Foundation's Conference Centre for interaction, knowledgeable and scientifically sound contributions and subsequent discussions as well as, of course, a healthy lunch and snacks during the breaks.

What role does nutrition play in prevention in children? How can we organise prevention and health promotion through nutrition in a child-friendly way? And how can we support parents and families in enabling children to eat a healthy diet? The full programme around the key questions of this symposium as well as the direct link to registration can be found here:

In addition to scientifically sound contributions, such as the lecture ‘Early childhood health promotion in Germany - status quo and perspectives’ or the impulse ‘Insta-Moms and Mealprep - family nutrition in social media’, the programme will be rounded off with panel discussions. New data, sound knowledge and important lessons learnt from practice - participants are also cordially invited to actively participate in the discussion and exchange of this update on primary prevention, ask questions and discuss with the experts from science and practice.
