Our Media & Design agency unit was once again faced with a particularly exciting design task in recent weeks: In the context of our assignment to design, organise and implement the second edition of the major public event ‘Backstage Bundesbank’ for and with the Deutsche Bundesbank, the task was to create a new mascot for the digital euro and thus the counterpart to the ‘Eurolino’.
May we introduce? The ‘digital euro’. His first live appearances: spectacular and in front of a very large audience on 14 and 15 September at the two-day major event on the topics of monetary policy, financial stability, banking supervision, payment transactions and cash with a varied programme, exciting interaction and information for the whole family at Frankfurt's Taunusanlage.
Friendly and approachable, it conveys the values of the digital currency and at the same time symbolises the technical innovation, security and transparency that go hand in hand with the introduction of the digital euro.
‘It is a friendly mascot in the shape of a smartphone with big rolling eyes. The plush cartoon arms and legs invite you to give it a hug. Together with the Deutsche Bundesbank, we developed this mascot to present the digital euro in a playful and accessible way,’ says Senior Art Director Sabine Daners.
Once again, we were able to demonstrate our creativity, our diverse cross-media in-house skills, our many years of experience and expertise as a full-service agency - from individual conception, a sophisticated campaign and event dramaturgy, the intelligent wayfinding and security concept to the creation of eye-catching media and mascots and the professional implementation of this major public event on site.
